Echidna Sewing January Project
If you’re interested in a sewalong head over to the Echidna Sewing blog, where they will be featuring a new Charity project each month. This month’s sewalong is dedicated to Aussie Heroes – A blog encouraging people to make quilts and laundry bags for Aussie service men and women currently serving overseas, and to express our gratitude for their service.
The project is to sew a laundry bag themed for men, since that’s what they are currently needing. So, I had a look on Pinterest (as you do) and came up with this design below. It’s almost designed to look like a punching bag!
This project features a ScanNCut design, which you can cut out and iron directly onto the laundry bag in a few simple steps. If you’re interested in finding out how to create this project, please visit my Echidna Sewing post which includes fabric sizes, the ScanNCut download file and the pattern, plus instructions.
It’s going to be a really fun year with sewalongs, so I would highly recommend if you’re looking for some inspiration, while giving to a worthy cause, follow the Echidna Sewing Blog or even join the Echidna Sewing & Embroidery Facebook Community.
We have already lined up a great Charity for our February sewalong featuring children’s projects to help those affected by cancer.
