It’s pretty amazing that you can google whatever type of sewing pattern you want these days and find some gorgeous free designs. This Madeline Dress from Sewing Rabbit is such a cute little design and easy to find and download. My friends little girl just loves dresses that she can twirl in, so I figured with the large gathered skirt this dress would be perfect.
Sewing Pattern: The Madeline Dress
Fabric: Cotton skirt and Jersey Cotton top
Pattern: Beginner level
If you’re looking for some easy sewing patterns check out Craftsy. There are heaps of pencil cases available and some you can download for free.
When it comes to embroidery designs I love Urban Threads because they do loads of cute characters, like this little pug design.
The final outcome looks so similar to those you would find in stores like Typo! Plus, it’s super easy to make and you only need the starting range embroidery machines to create this, which includes a 4″ x 4″ embroidery hoop.
And because I like to create more than one project at a time, I’ve experimented with a few different types of fabrics and layouts.
Here is a quilted example.
Finally, since I also love my Brother ScanNCut I also created a “Pug Life” pencil case. So easy to set up and iron on!
I hope you enjoy this quick project!
I found this designer on Craftsy, which is now called BluePrint and unfortunately it’s super quite hard to find independent pattern designers like this Sew Desu Nu. So instead I’m recommending you to go straight to her blog – Choly Knight.
Designer – Sew Desu Ne
She has the most gorgeous makes with a huge number of free patterns as well as the affordable patterns in her store. I’ve only made one of her toys but so far I’m really impressed. Her patterns are really well written with step-by-step picture diagrams, which is perfect for any beginner sewer. Plus, they’re absolutely adorable!!
Bat Plush Toy
This is an example of her Bat Plush Toy that I attempted and absolutely love!
I’ve never really made toys before so I would consider myself a beginner in this field. The brown bat I accidentally put the ears on the wrong way but gosh, he’s still so cutie patoodie!
If you have kids or friends you can create or give these to, I highly recommend going over to Choly Knight’s blog and checking these out.
